Artemisia plot
"Her passion for her art changed the face of history."
Artemisia is raised in a monastery where she secretly makes drawings with herself as a model. At the end of the sixteenth century it is very unusual for a woman to paint, let alone to study nude models: that is even forbidden. After discovering her 'pernicious' occupation, her father, Orazio Gentileschi, is summoned. But her father is a painter himself and recognizes her talent. She is allowed to come and work in his studio.
