Julia is a divorced American fashion designer who suffers from a deadly disease. She has only a short time to live and leaves for Italy for one last vacation. Here she happens to meet engineer Valerio and they have an affair. When Julia's friend Maggie shows up and wants to force Julia to go to the hospital to die in peace, trouble ensues.
