Alphabet Lane plot

Anna and Jack have just moved to a remote location in New South Wales. Their relationship is strained by their long work hours as doctors and engineers, and their isolation prevents them from relying on friends and family. One day, Jack imagines a friend and farmer named Joe, and Anna then invents a wife for him named Michelle. What began as a joke to alleviate boredom quickly becomes a lifeline when the couple write letters to their fictional friends.
