1995. Mary Kay Letourneau, teacher and mother of four, learns that her father has prostate cancer. She is going through a rough time emotionally. She cannot count on understanding and support from her husband. During this difficult period, she finds love with her thirteen-year-old student Vili Fualaau. They start a relationship.
