"Spendthrifts of Love!"
Peter and his girlfriend Sidney have been engaged for three years, but due to the economic crisis following the stock market crash of 1929, they are still not married. The mothers of both fiancés also do their best to put a stop to the marriage, because they themselves have a selfish interest in keeping the couple apart. Peter and Sidney continue to believe in their future together, drawing hope from the lyrics of their favorite song, "After Tomorrow."
