"When war erupts, passions ignite"
South Africa, the 1970s. Steph Oosthuizen is a confused soldier who is in love with dancer Emma. After his brigade is stationed, lonely Emma befriends a black colleague, Joseph. When she learns that Joseph lives on the street, Emma invites him to stay with her. However, amid fiery riots and civil war, Steph decides to desert and returns home. He finds Joseph at Emma's house and assumes the worst.
