A Very British Coup plot

Harry Perkins, steel worker from Sheffield and above all a passionate socialist, is elected Prime Minister of England, to the dismay of half of England and abroad. Perkins immediately advocates things like open government and nuclear disarmament, which don't go down well everywhere. The Americans and the old British guard try everything to attack him, from spies, to tabloid stories and tape recordings.
