A Passagem da Noite plot

Mariana is seventeen, in high school and lives in one of the suburbs of Lisbon. She has found herself in a hopeless situation because she has been raped by a drug addict and found out that she is pregnant. Out of shame, fear and anger, she decides to keep her pregnancy a secret, from her parents, her boyfriend, her friends, the police and the court. Only a dogged police inspector and a prostitute know her secret.
