The story is set in Estaque, a suburb of Marseille and more specifically in and around the cabaret Le Perroquet Bleu. It is about simple people who share joys and sorrows with each other. Patrick is unemployed, his wife Marie-Sol has an insecure job and his father, papa Carlosa, is an old disabled anarchist who is more drunk than sober. And then there are the many friends: Jaco, who is also unemployed, Josepha, an aging punctual, José, who cherishes his car as his only possession...
