A Cry from the Streets plot
A story about the adventures and sorrows of a group of disadvantaged children in London's East End, under the care of social worker Ann Fairley. The children live in Ranleigh House, which is supervised by Mrs. Daniels. Ann meets the cheerful electrician Bill Lowther, a widower who also lost his young son. They begin to have feelings for each other and slowly Bill becomes more and more involved in Ann's work.
