"This Poster will Be Seen But Not Heard. This Film Will Be Seen and Heard."

In 1964, 28-year-old Kitty Genovese is raped and murdered in New York. From their homes, 37 local residents witnessed this crime without intervening in any way. At the time before and during the crime, a number of local residents are followed in their daily lives. They are people who experience life and their personal problems according to a very passive motto; "if we pretend we don't see or hear anything and don't talk about it, then it didn't happen".
