The day before summer finally begins, the founder and owner of a small circus dies. In an effort to save the season, the rest of the circus calls on Kate, the deceased owner's daughter. Although she left the circus 15 years ago, she decides to everyone's surprise to agree to the proposal. By chance they come into contact with the Italian Vittorio who becomes fascinated by Kate and decides to travel with them for a while.
