Julia has everything a person could dream of: a beautiful, cozy home, a loving husband and a successful career as an art photographer. However, when her mother develops cancer, her world suddenly collapses. In the months that follow, she struggles with her mother's illness, maintaining her career and the absence of her husband, who also has a successful career. Julia's mother's illness and death are very different and far more absurd from close quarters than you might expect. And if that wasn't enough, her father can't handle the death of his wife and starts drinking. Julia seeks solace in the arms of an unexpected figure...
