An 11-year-old Turkish boy, two young men from a small town and a police officer cheated by his wife all make their way to Berlin on the 1. Mai day in the Kreuzberg district, where emotions run high every year. Eager to gain recognition, Little Yavuz is determined to floor a cop to impress his older brother. But then he meets Harry and things turn out completely different. Jacob and Pelle from Minden are spirited and enthusiastic boys who are counting on a real adventure in the capital. They are a pair of curious tourists who drift between sightseeing, a search for a kebab shop and the protest march of the anarchist 'Black Block'. Once the riots have started, Police Officer Uwe has problems of a completely different kind. He and his colleagues must ensure that calm is maintained in Kreuzberg. Four different lives, four different stories and predicaments. Celebrate people, each with their own experience on this 1. Mai day, a day after which nothing will be the same...
