Was her beauty a curse or a blessing? In any case, both Adolf Hitler and Joseph Goebbels were fascinated by the celebrated Austro-Czech actress Lída Baarová. In the end, it was Goebbels with whom she started a relationship. She and her family paid a high price for this after the war. Chain-smoking Baarová tells her tragic life story. She distances herself from Goebbels' actions, not from her love for him. She didn't know what he stood for at the time, she claims.
