About thirty years ago, Will Ferrell was added to the cast of “Saturday Night Live,” around the same time Harper Steele was hired as a writer. The two became close colleagues and Steele wrote many of Ferrell's most iconic characters and sketches. Their professional and creative collaboration grew into a decades-long friendship. When Ferrell discovered that his good friend had come out as a trans woman, the two embarked on a cross-country road trip to process this new phase in their relationship.
