What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Deep Space Nine plot
Compared to the original series and The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine was seen as too dark, daring and the black sheep of the Star Trek family; a show that didn't fit creator Gene Roddenberry's view of the future. Now, more than twenty years later, fans and critics around the world are rediscovering Deep Space Nine and embracing the series with an enthusiasm close to any other Star Trek series. This documentary takes an in-depth look at this historic series, including interviews with cast and crew members, and examines the reasons why Deep Space Nine is not an outcast of the family, but a mainstay of Star Trek.
