Voyage en Barbarie plot

Since 2009, the Sinai, the peninsula of Egypt, has been the battleground for large-scale human trafficking. Mainly Sudanese refugees, who were previously abducted in the refugee camps, are being traded like animals on the border between Egypt and Israel. They are held in caves by Bedouins and their families are forced to pay a large ransom to free their relatives. These amounts can be up to $40,000.
