Un Voyageur plot

Marcel Ophüls is a name that crops up very often in the twentieth century. He comes face to face with an impressive number of its history makers. The son of Jewish-German filmmaker Max Ophüls, he was exiled to Hollywood during World War II and grew up there. He launched his own career directing fiction films with the help of François Truffaut, later building a reputation as a master of documentary. His breakthrough, "The Sorrow and the Pity", examined French collaboration with the Nazis.
