Thomas Sankara, l'Homme Intègre plot

In 1984, at the age of 34, Thomas Sankara became the president of the then Haute Volta. The first change he made was to change the name to Burkina Faso, which means 'the land of honest people'. Sankara's candid approach and charisma revitalized his country. He fought corruption, refused dependence on the West, improved education, encouraged the agricultural sector and lifted the status of women. Through archival footage and interviews we get a picture of this eminent leader and his innovative ideas, humeo, ethics and self-sacrifice. In 1987, Sankara was assassinated in a coup led by the current president of Burkina Faso, Blaise Compaoré.
