The Writer with No Hands plot

Documentary about journalist Matthew Alford who starts an investigation into the mysterious 1997 disappearance of screenwriter Gary DeVore. It was found, handsless, dead under an aqueduct in California. Alford meets DeVore's widow, among others, and questions the influence of the military in Hollywood and the role of propaganda.
