The Shepherd and the Bear plot
In the Ariège, a region in the French Pyrenees, the brown bear has been reintroduced to the wild, in a place where shepherds traditionally graze their sheep in the summer. At the same time as the bear population grows, the nuisance and dissatisfaction of the cattle farmers - whose sheep and cows regularly fall victim. Yves is one of the old shepherds who is followed in his difficult task of finding a successor.
