A parking lot in Charlottesville, Virginia. A number of parking attendants have their own rituals and form a close-knit group, consisting of students, over-educated philosophers, gruff artists, 'slackers' and other types. In stark contrast to the sheer amount of cars they see every day, they themselves prefer skateboards and bicycles to get around. At most, they have a tolerant form of contempt for their patronage. Not that they don't care, by the way. They are followed as they go about their daily business, waging their own 'war' with elitist, pretentious and obnoxious customers.
