The Man behind the Microphone plot

By chance, filmmaker Claire Belhassine discovers that her grandfather was a famous singer in and around Tunisia. This is the account of her search for his past and why she knew nothing about it. Her grandfather is Hédi Jouini (1909-1990), who was called 'the Tunisian Frank Sinatra'. His popularity knew no bounds. Jouini wrote about a thousand songs, appeared in films and contributed to the increasing self-confidence of Tunisia, which gained its independence in 1956.
