The Day Hitler Died plot
"April 30th, 1945"
This documentary is a collection of filmed interviews with the survivors of the Berlin bunker in which Adolf Hitler, Eva Braun and the Goebbels family committed suicide in the last days of World War II. The interviews were conducted in 1948 by Captain Michael Musmanno, a United States Naval attorney and Nuremberg judge. They were never seen before. The film was offered to Hollywood, but the mood in the Western world had changed and wanted to forget about Hitler and the war and instead look to the future. The film remained in a US university archive until it was rediscovered in 2013.
