The Black Box is Orange plot

The central setting of the film is the former Palestinian village of al-Bassa, near the Lebanese border, which became the Israeli city of Shlomi after the Nakba of 1948 and where Benivolski spent her childhood and teenage years. Now, from the perspective of adulthood, she unravels a youth spent under the spell of settler ideology, examining the sticking points where state-imposed and population-supported obscuration touches the ragged edges of memory.
