Taste of Cement plot

In Beirut, Syrian construction workers are building a skyscraper, while their own homes are being destroyed by bombing at the same time. The Lebanese war is over but the Syrian one is still raging. The workers are locked up on the construction site. They are not allowed to leave it after 7 pm. The Lebanese government has imposed a curfew on the refugees. For the Syrian workers, the only contact with the outside world is the hole through which they have to climb in the morning to start a new working day. Cut off from their homeland, they gather around a small TV set at night to listen to the news from Syria. Tormented by fear and as they suffer the deprivation of their basic needs and rights as workers, they continue to hope for a better life...
