Tales of the Uncanny plot

"The ultimate survey of anthology horror"

A detailed look at the history of the 'anthology horror film' (also known as the 'portmanteau horror film'). Starting with the silent film Eerie Tales from 1919, this documentary takes a journey through time towards the seventies and eighties, when this film form, with multiple stories within a single film, was at its peak. However, more recent anthology films are also featured. Enthusiasts, critics, and filmmakers share their thoughts on their favorites.
