Sky over Holland plot

Made for the World Exhibition in Montreal (Canada) in 1967, this 70mm documentary shows a bird's eye view of the Netherlands. Filmmaker John Fernhout portrays the white or dark threatening clouds over polders, rivers, bulb fields, cities and villages. The typical Dutch landscapes, filmed in different seasons, regularly flow into paintings by Dutch painters such as Vermeer, Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Mondriaan.
