Sierra Leone's Refugee All Stars plot

"The story of a group of courageous musicians who form a band in a West African refugee camp to keep their hope alive."

When you hear the catchy tunes of The Refugee All Stars and the relaxed cheerfulness of the band members, you almost forget that they all carry a lot of suffering. Leaving behind family and friends, they fled Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone, which was ravaged by ruthless rebels during the civil war. The musicians Franco, Reuben and Grace meet in the Kali refugee camp in the neighboring Republic of Guinea.
