Shield and Spear plot

Shield & Spear is about an artist who finds himself in trouble after painting a caricature of President Jacob Zuma, a musician who created the character of an archetypal African dictator, a group of extravagant fashion designers in Soweto for whom their designs are an expression of freedom. being, a photographer who dedicates her life to portraying the LGTB community, one band from Johannesburg is very politically engaged, another stays away from anything political. The personal stories and work of black and white artists show what it's like to be an artist in the 'Rainbow Nation' South Africa became after the abolition of apartheid, and how they deal with issues such as identity, creativity and race .
