Shi Ren Chu Chai Le plot
In 2002 filmmaker Ju Anqi shot a film about a tour by the poet Shu through Xinjiang, the westernmost, autonomous Uyghur province of China. All we learn about Shu is that he plays a poet who sends himself on a business trip - an absurd, satirical premise that sets the tone of the film. Structured around sixteen poems that he writes on the road, Shu's physically exhausting journey takes you over endless bumpy roads, past shabby inns and through impressive landscapes, from one prostitute to another.
