Shaman Tour plot
Every summer, Enkhetuya, a famous shaman, and her family set up camp on the shores of Lake Huvsgul in Northern Mongolia. They are Tsaatan and reindeer herders, but in the summer they make a living from tourism: they charge money for photos, sell souvenirs and perform special shamanic rituals. This year, other Tsaatan families are also planning to move from the 'taiga' (tundra) to the lake to get a share of the tourism revenue as well. The film focuses on the relationships between local residents and tourists as well as the family's strategies for survival in an ever shrinking world.
