Serras da Desordem plot
Carapirú was the only one who could escape a massacre that peasants inflicted among the Indians. He wanders in the hills of central Brazil for ten years and finally they find him in November 1988, about two thousand kilometers from his starting point. When anthropologist and indigenous peoples specialist Sydney Possuelo takes him to Brasilia, he instantly becomes a local celebrity. Who or what is he really? Turns out he's a Guajà Indian, or at least that's how it interprets an eighteen-year-old interpreter, who used to be rescued by the same Possuelo from the hands of a brutal landowner. But whether that is the end of the search for his identity remains to be seen.
