"Passion cannot be silenced"

In 2015, Sandra Bland, a politically active 28-year-old black woman from Chicago, was arrested for a traffic violation in a small Texas town. She was found dead in her cell three days later. Although it was determined to have been suicide, her death led to charges of racist police murder and Sandra became a national symbol for ending racist police brutality.
