Salvador Allende plot
"A leftist revolutionary or a reformist democrat?"
Salvador Allende has dedicated his life to Chile, his native country. A convinced Marxist, he was at the origin of the Chilean Socialist Party. In politics he can be considered more of a humanist than a theorist. He ran for president three times, unsuccessfully each time. But he did not give up the struggle in the democratic game. On November 4, he was elected president and threw himself into the socialist conversion of his country with great zest. His love for democracy will cost him his life and plunge Chile into fascist darkness for more than 17 years.
