Requiem voor een Boom plot

'Our chestnut tree is in full bloom from top to bottom, it is full of leaves and much more beautiful than last year.' 13 May 1944, Anne Frank writes these words in her famous diary about the tree she overlooks in the courtyard of the Secret Annex. Three months later she and her family will be betrayed and taken to Westerbork. The chestnut tree, which over the years has become a monument as a silent witness to the life of Anne Frank, falls over in the summer of 2010 during a storm.
