Rehearsals for a Revolution plot

Through five portraits of family members and mentors—five different forms of resistance—director Pegah Ahangarani sketches the intimate story of her life and, simultaneously, that of her country. Drawing on personal archives, home videos, recordings of street protests, newspaper reports, and oral testimonies, she reconstructs more than four decades of Iranian history. From the early days of 1979 to the war that broke out in 2026, Ahangarani constructs a memory that is both personal and collective.
