Poisson d’Or, Poisson Africain plot

The Casamance region of southern Senegal is one of the last areas of traditional fishing in West Africa. This sector employs thousands of people, men and women, from all over Senegal, but also from Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso and Mali and contributes to the food supply of many African countries. However, this way of living and working is threatened by the arrival of foreign industrial fishing companies and a fishmeal factory.
