Pasolini Prossimo Nostro plot
On the set of 'Salò o le 120 Giornate di Sodoma', filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini talks about his vision and work. The interview was recorded in June 1975 by film journalist Gideon Bachmann, barely six months before the murder of the controversial filmmaker. Director Giuseppe Bertolucci processed the interview together with an enormous amount of set photos into a documentary portrait of Pasolini and his latest film Salò. In 'Pasolini Prossimo Nostro', Pasolini sets out his ideas about still current themes such as commerce, consumerism, mass culture, power, the paradox of freedom and the importance of rebellion, while matching stills from his film pass by like a graphic novel.
