Ola's Borgen plot

Ola Mafaalani, originally from Syria, adapted the successful Danish drama series Borgen, about the female Prime Minister Brigitte Nyborg, into a ten-hour theater marathon. It is her magnum opus and farewell as artistic director of the Noord Nederlands Toneel. More than ever, the themes in the play are linked to her personal life, such as the split between work and family and the political dilemmas surrounding the influx of refugees from her homeland.
