"The power of money to silence a free press."
When Gawker Media posts a sex tape online featuring former professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, the latter files a lawsuit against the gossip site. This lawsuit turns into an investigation into how the rich can thwart press freedom in order to silence their critics. Hogan wins the case and Gawker Media and its founder Nick Denton go bankrupt. In addition, a controversial behind-the-scenes winner is spotlighted: Silicon Valley venture capitalist Peter Thiel.
