Moebius Redux: A Life in Pictures plot
French artist and author Jean Giraud, aka Moebius, is one of the most influential and innovative cartoonists ever. In the 1970s, as co-founder of the comic magazine 'Métal Hurlant', he created a completely new, 'grown-up' view of the art of cartoon drawing, which caused a stir in the world of the French bourgeoisie and that of American cartoonists. With series like 'Blueberry', about a cowboy, and fantastic, surrealistic stories like 'John Difool', but also with set designs for films like 'The Fifth Element', Giraud manages to reach a huge audience. The documentary tells about the life and work of an exceptional artist. Giraud himself, as well as those who have worked with him, include philosopher and filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky and fellow cartoonist Philippe Druillet, as well as Swiss artist HR Giger and Marvel Comics boss Stan Lee.
