Menschen im Busch plot

A portrait of daily life and work in an African village. Seemingly untouched by colonial influences, the inhabitants are completely self-sufficient. Ethnologist Gulla Pfeffer and cameraman Friedrich Dalsheim found an Ewe village in the interior of Togo, which was a German colony until 1914. Field work, hunting, meal preparation, weaving, pottery, dancing and religious rites shape the life of a community whose state-of-the-art convenience is a telephone made of cans and a piece of string.
