Medicating Normal plot
One in five Americans takes psychiatric drugs daily. While these medications can provide effective short-term relief, pharmaceutical companies have hidden the dangers and long-term harms from both doctors and patients. The documentary “Medicating Normal” follows the journey of five people whose doctors prescribe psychiatric drugs to help with issues such as stress, mild depression, insomnia and grief. After taking the prescribed drugs, it becomes apparent that patients are left with physical and mental side effects and permanent neurological damage.
