Mad Hot Ballroom is a film that follows fourth and fifth grade New York students as they take their first steps into the world of competitive dancing. In addition to dancing, the children also learn how real life works. The merengue, tango and rumba transform these city children into real "ladies and gentlemen" who eagerly work their way towards the all-deciding dance tournament.
