Little Palestine (Diary of a Siege) plot

Yarmouk, the part of the Syrian capital Damascus where more than a hundred thousand Palestinian refugees lived, was not spared during the Syrian civil war. The Assad siege cut off the camp from the outside world from 2013 to 2015. Abdallah Al Khatib, born there in 1989, gets hold of a camera and films what he sees with friends. The once lively streets are gray and deserted. Hunger takes its toll, as the UN tries to alleviate the worst need. But civilians on their way to a checkpoint in hopes of obtaining food are chased away by bullets. Umm Mahmoud, Al Khatib's mother, visits the elderly as a nurse. Every green plant is eaten. Bombs sound in the distance.
