Lift Lady plot

When Mzia was younger, and Georgia had just gained independence after the fall of the Soviet Union, she fought as a sniper against Russian aggression in Abkhazia. Now, in the autumn of her life, Mzia is an elevator operator, watching over a central piece of infrastructure in a monumental apartment building in Tbilisi: an elevator that takes residents to their homes and to an impressive pedestrian bridge that connects them to the neighborhood. When the elevator breaks down, Mzia, in her stoic attempts to repair it, finds herself in a silent battle against bureaucracy.
