Léopold III - Mon Père plot

Documentary about the life and work of the fourth king of the Belgians, seen through the eyes of his daughter, Princess Esmeralda. For the realization of this documentary about Leopold III (1901-1983), the filmmaker worked closely with Princess Esmeralda, the King's youngest daughter, and his second wife, Princess Lilian. Delvaulx reconstructs the king's life on the basis of lengthy interviews with the princess and with historians, analysts and witnesses. The speakers include Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, Mark Eyskens, Herman De Croo, Nobel Prize winner Christian De Duve, historians Vincent Dujardin and Francis Balace, and the late Prince Alexander (1942-2009), the king's eldest son, in his last interview.
