It's mid-2000 when 21-year-old Lucie Blackman, a flight attendant, leaves her life in London behind and moves to Tokyo for a year of adventure and discovery. Just three weeks later, she disappeared without a trace. What follows is a complicated international investigation to find Lucie - led by a team of tenacious Japanese detectives. Lucie's story is told in this documentary by the people involved in the investigation and her father, who never gave up hope of finding his daughter alive. Their race against time took them through the seedy heart of Tokyo's dark underbelly and finally to the tragic truth.

Not really very good. Not really that bad. Just a nice true-crime with the main angle on the cultural differences between Western relatives and the Japanese investigation services. It also sheds an interesting light on the hostess culture of the 1990s, in which foreign women had a vulnerable legal position.
